Italian culinary bliss @ Per Te

Expectations & reality seldom meet at a common point. But then places like Per Te surpass your high expectations & give you a fantabulous experience. I generally reserve this for the Final Verdict of my review, but “Per Te is the Italian cuisine restaurant to beat in the whole of UAE”

Ambiance: This is like so many different experiences in 1 place. This is a villa tucked away in Jumeirah1. You enter & can see nice wooden chairs and tables around with the Italian theme. Walk a bit further & there is a coffee lounge with the chocolate bar on 1 side & the wood fire oven pizzeria on the other.

Chocolate Bar

A walk inside is the array of beautiful Italian ingredients & pastas that you can purchase.

Walk further & you are in front of the open kitchen with upmarket upholstery & tables.
The menus come literally on a serving board. However, they are a slight pain to read because of that.

Service: Amazingly cheerful & courteous staff. Our food was served with a smile & in perfect time. They managed to even take care of our little critic when our mains arrived so that we could enjoy our food. Super Duper Thanks for that!

Food: Oh the Food! We were hit by wave after wave of flavours.

Focaccia with trio of dips: This was offered complimentary & I would be honest when I say this, I will pay money to have this as dish on the menu. The arrabiatta dip had a slight chilli kick to it while the sundried tomato dip was right amount of tangy. My fav was the pesto which was light and vibrant fresh. The focaccia also has mushroom or tomatoes in it. They managed to get the juices flowing in my mouth & made us more hungry for the food to follow.

Bruschetta with vine tomatoes, basil & rocket salad: Lightly toasted bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and basil. Add the salt on the plate for a salty kick or ask them to have some pepper grounded over it. The bitter rocca leaves with sweet balsamic vinaigrette was just amazing. Sour, bitter, sweet, salty… It was flavours overdrive.

Penne creamy pasta with pollo & funghi:
I dont like cream sauce based pastas, but wifey eliminated lamb, seafood & spaghetti pastas, had to settle on this. And boy, it was a treat! Al dente pasta with right amount of creamy sauce & well cooked chicken. The true winner were the wild mushrooms that offered the chewy texture & amazing flavour to this whole dish.

Picante pollo: Chicken & sweet peppers pasta: Thin base with right amount of topping. Good Pizza

Pinepple delight mocktail: Predominantly pineapple flavor with an undertone of orange. Nice fresh accompaniment to the meal.

Tiramisu: Just when i thought the meal couldnt get better, the tiramisu arrived. The biscuits were soaked in rich espresso flavour that were balanced by the sweet mascapone cheese at the top. Heavenly!

Pricing: 225 Dhs for the above fare. Well priced compared to the quality of food.

Final Verdict: Amazing food, great service. This is true italian cooking. Definitely coming back for more & spreading the word around!
